Google Forms
Google Forms is a tool that is used to gather data from electronic forms. You can use it to give quizzes or give polls and surveys. You can choose to limit the responses to people within your district and the responses can be anonymous or you can record the names. There are many options that you can choose to limit the people who can access it or limit how many times they can fill the form. The answers to your forms will automatically be populated into a spreadsheet within Google Drive. Google Sheets also have many built in features to display the results in various visual formats such as bar charts and pie charts.
Creating a Form
To create a form go to your Drive then click New >Â Google Forms > Blank form.
An Untitled form will appear and from here you can customize it and add questions and name the form, as well as fill out the form settings tab at the top.Â
Once you give your form a name you can write a brief description of the form.Â
The Questions that you want to ask are here. There are a variety of question types such as multiple choice, true or false, short answer, fill in the blank, etc.Â
To add more questions or other stuff you might want like a picture that goes with a question on the side of the box you are currently on Click the apropert icon to add the new element. it will appear below the currently selected box.
you may at some point want to rearrange the order of the questions. if so all you have to do is click and drag the six dots at the top of every box.
drag you question to your desired location.
You can change the appearance of your form by clicking Palette on the top right of the page
On the right side you will get a pop up that allows to change fonts colors and even add a photo at the top
When you are finished editing it will save automatically to drive.
Sharing
for Users
at the top right of the form hit the send button.
You can share the form by URL or send it via an automatic email. you can also make the form collect emails on this page. just type there emails in the To box and hit send. to get the URL click the  or a embed HTML click  and copy the following link
For Collaborators
Again, you'll want to open the form and click the blue Share form button. Then click the Add Editor at the bottom of the dialogue box.Â
Enter the names or email addresses of those you wish to share with. If you only want your collaborators to be able to edit and not add more collaborators then check the box below the space to invite people.Â
Viewing Responses
After you send the form out and people start to fill it out you'll want to see the responses that they put.
To do this open the form up and click responses at the top of the page.Â
Google forms no longer requires you to make a spreadsheet you can view all responses from the resposnses tab.
