How to Report Malicious Shared Files

If you find that an outside entity is sending you suspiscious or malicious files, you can report them to google which will remove them from your drive. There are 2 ways to do this. Though it is recommended that you follow both to make sure it’s truely gone.

From the Email Notification

  1. Open the email.

  2. Find the three dots next to the date and click them

  3. Press “Report Phishing”

From within Drive

  1. Go into Google Drive

  2. Go to “Shared with Me”

  3. Right Click on the file

  4. Click “Report Abuse”
