Normally chrome keeps itself relatively up-to-date through automatic updates. There are cases, specially with rarely used chromebooks, where a manual update is necessary. This has been known to solve issues with M-step testing due to out-of-date chrome.

  1. After opening chrome click on the three dots in the upper right of the window. From there select Settings

  2. Click on the three lines in the upper left of the settings page and select About Chrome

  3. Click on CHECK FOR UPDATES

  4. After any updates have finished installing, a restart may be required. Your chrome build will now be up to date.
